Anima Varma is a passionate advocate for the arts and a trained classical Indian vocalist dedicated to enriching her community’s cultural landscape. Originally from India, she moved to the U.S. in 1988 and has called Utah home since 1997. She has worked as an Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist at the University of Utah since 2003, contributing to protocol development and training while teaching at the Utah Electroneurodiagnostic Institute. Anima served on the Board of The Egyptian Theater Foundation for 13 years, bringing renowned artists like Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, Dave Holland Chris potter and Jason Samuel Smith to the community. With a deep love for music and theater, Anima has worked tirelessly to promote artistic excellence and cultural diversity. Beyond her board work, she actively engages with community organizations and events that celebrate the arts. In her free time, she enjoys music, reading, traveling, and organic gardening, always finding inspiration in creative expression.
